OVERVIEW

About

Founded in 2017, Beco is a sustainable consumer goods startup offering eco-friendly products in the home care, kitchen care, and personal care categories. Their portfolio includes plant-based, plastic-free, and chemical-free alternatives such as tissues, kitchen towels, dishwashing liquids, and floor cleaners. The brand operates on a D2C-first model with strong presence across online marketplaces like Amazon and BigBasket, and offline channels in premium retail stores across metro cities. Beco is backed by celebrities like Dia Mirza and seasoned investors from Reckitt, Mafatlal Group, and Sequoia Sprouts.

Why We Invested?

We invested in Beco in 2022 because it is tackling a massive, $12B+ home care market with a sustainable, affordable, and scalable alternative. With growing consumer awareness around eco-friendly living and a sharp execution-focused founding team (BITS Pilani & IIT Madras alumni), Beco stood out as a category creator with both brand and distribution potential. Their early traction, strong gross margins, and clear roadmap to profitability reinforced our belief in their ability to build the leading sustainable household brand in India.
