OVERVIEW

About

Revfin is a digital lending platform focused on financing electric vehicles (primarily E-rickshaws and two-wheelers) for financially underserved consumers in Tier II and Tier III towns. Founded by Sameer Aggarwal (ex-HSBC, IIT Kharagpur alum), Revfin uses non-traditional data sources: including biometrics, psychometrics, and gamification, to assess borrower risk. It partners with OEMs and NBFC subsidiary Aristo to enable fast loan disbursal (in as little as 16 minutes). As of the investment, Revfin had disbursed ₹50 Cr+ in loans, with 85% to customers lacking formal credit history. The company operates across 150+ districts in 18 states and holds ISO 27001 certification.

Why We Invested?

We backed Revfin for its sharp focus on financial inclusion through EV adoption, a climate-positive double whammy. The team’s deep domain experience in lending, risk, and digital transformation, combined with its tech-led underwriting model, gives it an edge in penetrating Bharat’s underserved EV market. The $50B EV financing opportunity is ripe, and Revfin’s early traction, low NPA levels, and institutional partnership with Shell Foundation signal both scale potential and impact. We believe Revfin is well-positioned to become a market leader in EV-focused fintech for last-mile users.
